The Hospitality Pact consists of four specialized working groups. Each working group is staffed by experienced professionals from various branches within the hospitality sector. These experts bring their specific knowledge and experience to address the challenges in the sector.
The Research & Innovation working group focuses on conducting in-depth research on labor market challenges in the hospitality sector. They develop strategies for attracting and retaining staff, as well as improving the skills of employees, also known as 'upskilling' and 'reskilling'. An important part of their work is finding innovative solutions for more efficient business operations and optimizing the hospitality experience.
Additionally, they investigate the impact of AI on future jobs and skills in order to anticipate changes in the labor market. The working group facilitates knowledge sharing at international, national, and regional levels, allowing the entire sector to benefit from their insights.
The Social Policy working group addresses a wide range of topics related to the well-being of employees in the hospitality sector. They develop policies around (social) workplace safety and advocate for promoting diversity and inclusion within the sector. They also focus on promoting vitality and lifelong learning among employees. The working group also tackles issues related to employment and good employer practices, with the aim of creating a healthy and attractive work environment for all employees in the sector.
The Education and Policy working group focuses on developing appropriate education for the hospitality sector. They work based on four core questions:
Their goal is to create an educational offering that seamlessly aligns with current and future labor market needs, both for new entrants and current employees. By closely collaborating with educational institutions and employers, they ensure that the programs remain relevant and up-to-date.
The Labor Market Branding working group focuses on improving the image and positioning of the hospitality sector. Their mission is to promote hospitality as a professional field with real career opportunities. They work on strategies to reach a broader audience in society and generate interest in the sector. Through targeted campaigns and collaborations with various parties, they aim to position the hospitality sector as an attractive and dynamic work environment for both young talents and experienced professionals.
Through the collective efforts of these four working groups, the Hospitality Pact aims to strengthen the sector, stimulate innovation, and create an attractive work environment for current and future professionals. The pact serves as a bridge between education, business, and government, playing a crucial role in the sustainable development of the hospitality sector.
